Ellen Cargill
PhD, Chief Technology Officer
Ellen Cargill is the Chief Technology Officer at Scallop Imaging and is responsible for all technology and product development. She has over 25 years of experience developing a variety of imaging systems and leading product development.
Prior to joining Scallop Imaging, Ellen was Sr. Vice President at MyVu developing wearable video display glasses. Prior to that she was Vice President Optics Technologies at Flextronics. In this position, she led the development of miniature camera modules for cell phone applications including lens design, fabrication, and assembly, and camera module design. She also worked at Polaroid corporation for 12 years, developing the thermal pigment transfer technology and products that became medical laser imagers, then went on the become Vice President of Consumer Product Development leading the development of all camera and instant printer products. She has over 30 technical publications, and 16 US patents and patents pending. Ellen earned her BS in Physics from Bridgewater State College and a Ph.D. in Optical Science from University of Arizona.
Steven Gorski
Chief Sales Officer
Steve Gorski is Chief Sales Officer of Scallop Imaging, an innovator in the development of video imaging technology. In this role, Gorski leads Scallop’s sales, marketing and sales support efforts focused on the company’s Distributed Imaging technology.
Prior to joining Scallop Imaging, Steve served as General Manager of MOBOTIX Corp., where he drove overall market strategy and sales in the Americas market. Previously, he was National Sales Manager for Axis Communications where he oversaw regional sales analysis and trends, developed new business opportunities in key vertical markets, and managed a robust team of regional sales professionals. Over the course of his career, he has served as Managing Director of the UK and Ireland regions for Axis Communications UK Ltd., and held other key leadership roles with Axis including Channel Sales Manager, Channel Development Manager and Managing Director of the Benelux regions. Steve is a frequent industry speaker and has been featured in a variety of industry and technology publications. He holds a BA from the University of Massachusetts.
Olaf N. Krohg
President
Olaf led the 2013 acquisition of Scallop Imaging from Scallop’s former parent company. Olaf joined Scallop from Dimensional Photonics International (DPI), a spin-out from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). DPI developed advanced 3D imaging technology for aerospace and defense and medical imaging. DPI licensed its technology to FARO Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: FARO) in 2008 and was sold to a subsidiary of Danaher Corporation (NYSE: DHR) in 2010. Olaf was the Chairman and CEO of DPI until the sale to Danaher, and managed DPI for Danaher until the end of 2013. Olaf was previously a Partner at Advent International, a leading global private equity firm, and a consultant with McKinsey & Company. He is a native of Norway, and received a BS from Boston University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
